Even more, it's my life experience that has made me an expert in the area of stress management.
Stress is an interesting thing. 13 years ago, if someone would have asked me to describe my life, stressful is NOT a word I would have used. Busy - yes. I was so tuned out and caught up in the busyness of my life, that I wasn't paying attention to how I was feeling. Then BOOM! I got sick ... really sick and cortisol (the stress hormone) was the culprit.
Stress had destroyed my physical and mental health and my recovery was dependant on learning how to better cope. I'm now in a much happier, healthier and productive place because I apply what I have learned.
I've spent the last decade studying and researching stress from physical, emotional, neurological and intellectual perspectives. In my body of work, I have integrated skills and research from experts in the fields of neurology, positive psychology, western medicine, eastern medicine, naturopathic medicine, energy medicine and mindfulness. I have learned from many including Dr. Dan Siegel, Dr. Dzung Vo, Elisha Goldstein, Ph. D, Dr. Brene Brown, Dr. Christopher Willard PsyD, Susan David Ph.D, Dr. Julie Smith, my naturopathic doctor and my family doctor.
My workshops have helped employees who are feeling so stressed out that it's affecting their health, productivity and
job satisfaction. I've worked with students whose stresses are affecting their success and enjoyment of school. The techniques I share work for anyone, of any age, in any industry.
I've been on an amazing journey and I am excited to share what I know ... all in the spirit of helping people of all ages develop healthy habits for their physical and emotional wellbeing.
